In the haunting 'White Zombie', Lugosi stars as Murder Legendre, a shadowy character who exercises supernatural powers over the natives in his Haitian domain. Coveting beautiful Madge Bellamy as his bride, wealthy Robert Frazier is refused her hand in marriage. He enters into an unholy agreement with Lugosi, whereby Madge will fall ill and die, then be resurrected as a zombie-and Frazier's love-slave.

Long ignored or shunted aside as insignificant, White Zombie can hold its own with any of the like-vintage Universal horror classics.

A young Canadian nurse (Betsy) comes to the West Indies to care for Jessica, the wife of a plantation manager (Paul Holland). Jessica seems to be suffering from a kind of mental paralysis as a result of fever. When she falls in love with Paul, Betsy determines to cure Jessica even if she needs to use a voodoo ceremony, to give Paul what she thinks he wants.

Though the earlier Universal horror films of James Whale (Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein) and Tod Browning (Dracula, Freaks) are better-known, RKO's smaller-budgeted horror pictures produced by Val Lewton, including I Walked With a Zombie, have had perhaps a more lasting influence on American cinema. Relying on moody psychological terror rather than special effects, Zombie and its precursor, Cat People, are purely cinematic in building suspense through atmosphere.

Siblings Johnny and Barbara whine and pout their way through a graveside visit in a small Pennsylvania town, but it all takes a turn for the worse when a zombie kills Johnny.

With his first effort, Romero shattered the rules of the horror genre; Night of the Living Dead retained many of the iconic elements of the traditional horror movie, but without the emotional buffering of most films that preceded it.

The Italian film industry has a long history of making somewhat rushed knockoffs and sequels to popular import hits, and though this stylish and gore-drenched effort from Lucio Fulci is indeed intended as something of an unofficial sequel to American director George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead (released overseas as Zombi), Fulci's film has gone on to become something of a classic in its own right.

This is a great low budget movie that shows how people who have no money have to use their imagination to tell great stories and create great characters. Farsa Productions shows great ability and technique in all aspects of movie making, and this turns out to be an old fashioned, ass kicking zombie movie. Inspiring and honest, these crew of young film makers will soon become famous, as their early influences did (Peter Jackson, Sam Raimi). Great Special effects, editing, and writing. The three main characters have the charisma to become low budget legends such as Evil Dead's Ash.

Dennis Allan is an scientist who visits Haiti on the strength of a rumour of a drug which renders the recipient totally paralyzed but conscious. The drug's effects often fool doctors, who declare the victims dead. Could this be the origin of the "zombie" legend?

The Serpent and the Rainbow was based on the book of the same name by Wade Davis, an ethnobotanist whose real-life hunt for the zombie drug was credited with cracking the medical mystery behind the myth.

Sarah Polley and Ving Rhames star as two of the last remaining people on an earth that has been ravaged by flesh-eating zombies. After escaping to a shopping mall with a handful of other survivors, they decide that they only way to truly elude the approaching throng of undead is to somehow make their way to an island that is supposedly zombie-free.

Of course, this film isn't a "direct" remake of Romero's 1978 gut-muncher -- gone is the anti-consumerism and social satire that made the original such an ideal product of its time - though it still does manage to provide gory and intense fun with the same central concept. In the end, however, it does deliver in terms of pure, visceral terror by successfully tapping into the apocalyptic suburban paranoia that has been so prevalent since the horrific events of 9/11.

A wonderful blend of genuine thrills and over the top humour, 'Dead Meat' manages excellently to satisfy all the viewers needs. Foremost, 'Dead Meat' is a film made by horror fans for horror fans. This is what makes this film such a genuine treat.

On a flight from Los Angeles to Paris, a mad scientist on the run from the CIA is transporting a coffin containing the body of a colleague infected with a genetically modified virus. While the 747 crosses a violent thunderstorm, the instability of the aircraft allows the corpse to get out of its container. The flesh-eating zombie quickly starts to spread the virus, infecting many of the passengers which now will have to fight for their lives stranded in the air with no way out...

Go watch this - it's a fantastic mixture of zombie and air-plane disaster film. It'll give you a few frights, loads of laughs and that's more than a lot of other films. If you're looking for the perfect film to see with your friends & choke on your popcorn - this is the baby! Just don't expect it to turn up anytime soon as an in-flight movie...

It's eviction night at the Big Brother house, but something very strange is happening; the dead are coming alive and attacking the living. When zombies attack all of the audience outside, the Big Brother contestants are unaware of the death outside the fan-proof (and zombie-proof) big brother house until the show's runner, Kelly, comes into the house and warns them of the doom outside. Stuck with even less contact with the outside world, the house-mates must sneak out of the house to get supplies, without being seen by the zombies.

Dead Set is a five-part horror thriller created by English comic writer Charlie Brooker. The series was first aired on E4 on 27 October 2008. Advertisements for the show were aired on Channel 4 and E4. The first episode, at its peak, received just under one and a half million viewers and 8.3% total audience share.
The series was repeated on Channel 4 from the 6th to the 8th of January 2009, reformatted into three hour-long episodes.
